The 2011 All PA Ride held by the BMW Dutch Country Riders is just around the corner. I designed a new logo for this year’s ride. This time with a BMW R1200GS with the Pennsylvania keystone symbol.
The BMW Dutch Country Riders hold this event every year. Participants pay $15 to enter and are given a number, a t-shirt with the logo, and are provided with a list of locations to visit in each county of Pennsylvania. The event begins in April and runs through September. In October the club holds an award ceremony for all who participated.
Friends at Stoudtburg Village invited our club, the BMW Dutch Country Riders to bring our motorcycles to their village for a small bike show. It was fun being allowed to ride our German motorcycles into this replica German village. Everyone had fun checking out the shops, grabbing some snow cones and eating a few hotdogs and hamburgers. It was great weather too.
I love the BMW R1200GS Adventure. But this bike is just too big for me. This was one of the riders of the BMW XPLOR the Pine Barrens event in New Jersey last year. I spent more time riding than taking photos but this was one of my favorites. By the time my group arrived at this sand pit where Jimmy Lewis was giving instructions on how to ride your BMW motorcycle through the New Jersey sand I was ready for a break.
